Trash pickup yesterday.
That’s the only way I knew it was Wednesday.
Our schedules have taken on a rather finite trend. There’s only so much to do in a day when you’re not really supposed to go anywhere. Zoom meetings for piano lessons and speech therapy help to break up the monotony as does getting outside. It’s rained the past three days but thankfully, skies are clear today.
My publisher had to make the difficult decision to push back the release date for The Dragoneer. We’re now looking to the second half of September. I’ve said it elsewhere already, but I wish The Dragoneer could be there to entertain readers in this difficult time, but we’ll all just have to wait a bit longer.
In the meantime, I expect I will have to up my self-promotion game, which could use some work.
Have you been reading more? Or Less? I figured out how to borrow e-books from my library. I also downloaded the Goodreads app to keep better track of all the books I’ve read. Have you ever tried to sit down and recall every book you’ve read? Yeah, ouch. I’ll see a title I’ve read, go to the app, and mark it. This helps maintains my sanity instead of trying to do it all in one fell swoop.
Looking forward, I have a new project to work on. A friend dropped off some mask-making materials for me. I will attempt to make some for my family here in the coming days in addition to continuing to add to my WIP. Unfortunately, my mind already has a tab open for a side project I don’t have time for, but I’m letting the ideas percolate. What else can I do?
I hope everyone out there remains healthy. Remember, this will end. When it does, we will have ourselves to show for it. That’s all we need.
