End of May

The month of May kind of got away from me there.

And this first day of June is a little bittersweet. My book was supposed to come out tomorrow, but that’s not happening. The release date has been pushed to September 22nd and I hope to be able to share the cover soon.

So, good news: the book is still coming out. Bad news: We all have to wait a bit longer. I’m glad dragons have such a timeless quality to them. I mean, there’s never a bad time for dragons. AmIright?

I had hoped the month of May would be a better one, but in a lot of ways all it did was move time forward. Granted, I needed that to happen as much as the next person, but the way in which we move forward NEEDS to change.

Black Lives Matter.

This made the rounds on social media already, but it could stand to be read again, especially since I’ve read posts from friends who seem to have missed the point, unintentionally or not.

I realize I’m shouting into the void, but silence is compliance, and I don’t want to be that. This is not okay. We are not okay.

Black Lives Matter.

“While this doesn’t even come close to solving the problem, it did open my eyes and heart to read this list and consider these people for who they were: people who lived in the same world as me and who died unfairly and in vain.

  1. Your list is dragons speaking. I agree, because of my privilege, I must speak out and pass that along. I cannot be someone who is a silent bystander.
